Computers and Internet Access

We have two computers for public use, available free of charge, which you can use to access the Internet.

We offer free access to the following subscription websites

  • Ancestry
  • Find My Past
  • The British Newspaper Archive

You can also access non-subscription websites which may be relevant to your research. Staff will be happy to help and advise you.

To avoid disappointment, please telephone us on 01225 477421 to make an appointment before visiting to use the computers. For the websites Find My Past and the British Newspaper Archive, our subscription allows only one user at a time, so let us know if you wish to use these websites.

You are also welcome to use your own laptops or other devices, but we are not currently able to offer Wifi.
