Bath suffered great damage from the air raids of 25th and 26th April 1942. 9 maps show the severity of damage, 8 show the exact location of where explosives fell and there is a City wide map showing the location in which bombs fell. They are based on the pre-war 1:2500 (25") OS County sheets covering the city.
Tithe maps were drawn up in the 1840s and are divided by parish and are often the earliest complete maps of these parishes. They identify plots of land which were listed in the apportionment, providing details of land ownership and occupation, and the type of cultivation of the land. We can only provide images of the maps, not copies of the apportionments. Please see this guide for further details.
