Livestock: a hired horse not returned - a mare ca 10 yrs old & ca 14 hands high was hired from R. Box, cooper of Chippenham on 5 Nov. Reward 1 guin for info leading to apprehension & return of horse. The hirer left a lame & blind mare at White Hart Chippenham which he has not collected.

News: ## Workhouse management - letter to parishioners of St Peter & Paul on proposal from Mr Baily of Tetbury "a man of property" "a manufacturer". It suggests actual saving from Bailey's scheme will be 2 or 3 X more than the suggested £100 p.a. Present Workhouse master did not deliver an alternative proposal by the date required. St James's parish have already agreed to the proposal.
