Found guilty of neglect of duty in concealing certain items amounting of ú48,709 10s, in the account chargeable to the late Lord Holland as Paymaster General of H.Ms land forces, having received ú2,000 for examining the A/Cs, etc

Crime: William Wynne Ryland executed at Tyburn today for publishing a fraudulent bill of exchange. Dressed in black, he travelled in a mourning coach accompanied by Rev Mr Villette & 2 others. Arrived 5 mins before 11 am, but storm delayed execution. He (& others) turned off about a ? to 12 noon, & the remains delivered to friends for interment (29 Aug)

Politics: the late military disturbances in Philadelphia occasioned by the military finding that no fund had been provided for paying the army. Insurrections inc. officers after they found they were to be disbanded without any rational hope of receiving arrears due to them. Officers insisted on advance of 3 months pay which was agreed by the Governor, but security for arrears was not agreed to.
